cats

I'm still getting the hang of the Polaroid. However, my cats offer a somewhat interesting subject matter. I did find out that my camera likes natural sunlight and being outdoors way more than being inside with poor light.

Cleaning Day

This week, while I was procrastinating working on another project, I thought it'd be a good idea to go through some of my old photos and see if there was anything worth posting. Lo and behold, there was!

I found pictures from one of the first dates my now-husband Dan and I went on; we walked thru Aman park. Hiding under the dust covered electronic folders, there were pictures of one of the first day trips Dan and I took when we started dating. He used to think that it was impossible to make it to the Mackinac Bridge and back from Grand Rapids in one day, and enjoy the day. I proved him wrong. Some good snaps were taken, and we also expereinced a strange weather phenomenon - a 20 degree drop in a matter of seconds. Strange.

Oh, and I added a cool little gadget that plays a slideshow of my pictures that I have up on flickr. It's right over there...on the right...at the top.

My First Polaroid...

...the kitchen

It's Finally Here!!!

Yesterday was a happy day. I finally got my hands on a working Polaroid camera, that was mine, all mine. I even got to take a picture with it, and guess what, it worked! Last night, I clicked away with my new toy and out of the 4 photos, 2 actually came out; one of my husband and one of my kitchen. Two things that are very important to me.

I'm looking forward to playing some more once I get my hands on more film. Shooting Polaroid is addictive and costly. But hey, at least it's better for me than crack.

More Coming Soon...

After a wonderful Christmas holiday in Michigan, I've been looking forward to start taking some pictures with my new polaroid camera. Unfortunately, the camera I bought before vacation had a busted battery compartment. So, my good friend John is working some magic on it and hopefully, will make it operable. While the initial camera is in the shop, I found another $10 camera on e-bay that will hopefully work. It seems like fate is out to get me on the Polaroid adventure. But, I keep persevering and hopefully I'll have some new Polaroid photos to share with the world.

Until that time comes though, I'll make a shameless plug for my flickr site with all my really cool photos that I urge you to check out, leave comments, and enjoy.
