a hawaiian vacation :: intro

It had been five years or so since Dan and I had our last long and relaxing vacation. We were very lucky to be invited by our good friends John and Carla, to tag along with them to Hawaii. Carla was taking her boyfriend, John, home to Hawaii to meet her mom for the first time.

Over the course of 9 days, we were able to see a lot of the island of Oahu thru the many hikes, drives, and bus rides we went on.

Day 1:

Fly from Portland to Honolulu.
Grab a burger at Zippy's.
Watch our first island sunset.
Play Boom Blox until our arms hurt.
