Dan and I caught a break in the typical rainy spring Portland weather this Sunday and headed for a hike through our favorite state park, Silver Falls. There are over 12 waterfalls on this 7 mile hike, and it's also home to Oregon's tallest waterfall, South Falls at 177ft.
Most of the day, we were hiking in cloudy weather, but as we approached this fall (I don't remember which one it was, maybe Winter Falls?) the sun popped out and lit up the water. It was so cool and I was excited I had my camera out. Man, I can't wait to do more hiking this summer.
